After a busy day yesterday our night shift nurse Steph tackles kit preparation.
Overnight, all instruments and implants will be washed, dried, packaged for sterilisation and autoclaved ready for use again in the morning. This photo shows part of that process, with about half of the equipment used that day.
It’s a behind-the-scenes task, but a vital one that ensures we have immediate access to all the surgery equipment we need at the hospital.
