We have introduced the Evolox locking plating system for Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy cases, treating rupture of the Cranial Cruciate Ligament in dogs.
The plate combines locking screw purchase for improved rigidity, whilst retaining the ability to compress the osteotomy line and angulate screws.
The first diagram shows the possible angulation of the drill guides and a screw threaded into the plate, whilst the radiographs of two recent cases illustrate the plate in action, with a very stable, compressed osteotomy line.
The more stable the osteotomy, the more comfortable the patient and the swifter the recovery.
We’ve performed 116 TPLO surgeries in the last 12 months at A30Referrals, and our surgeon Colin Whiting has over 16 years experience with the procedure.
